Crappy bikes...

I'm not really a fan of bumper stickers. Most of the time I wonder what a person is trying to accomplish by plastering their car with pieces of their assumed identity--especially since so many bumper stickers are profoundly stupid. (W. Craig has a few nice examples for you, though he's talking about license plate covers.)

(Alright there are at least a few exceptions. I love this bumper sticker, and this one is way above average, but I still would never put either on my car. Or my bike.)

My anti-bumper-sticker bent notwithstanding, Wendy and I saw a bumper sticker we liked so well that we decided it was worth making Corbin unbuckle (at a red light, relax) to dig my camera out of the back of the van. I leaned out the window like Bo Duke and snapped a few pictures so I could always remember it. Best bumper sticker ever. (I'm willing to entertain other candidates, but this one is just perfectly suited for my irreverent, bike-centric mind.)

I am not a bumper sticker person either, though I do like that nowadays they are available in the sticky plastic stuff which means you can actually remove them should you want to. The last bumper sticker I noticed gave me the (easily ignored--I am not a violent person by nature) urge to ram right into the car sporting said bumper sticker so as to prevent the driver from voting!

Was it this one Marina?

No, not that one; I may not have been able to resist the urge had it been that one! :) This one was not clever in any way, just an endorsement for a continuation of the misguided government we are currently cursed with. (I've been out of the country long enough, it's the first I've seen of the current campaign bumper stickers.)

when I would take my nieces to the movies, we, of course would take treats in big purses. And we would tell my nieces that if someone asked to look in the purse to tell them that its there schizophrenia meds, and then they would talk start to talk to themselves. great fun!

Pablo,

Is that 'Share the Road' sticker sun-faded or did you employ some of those mad Photoshop skills of yours to mute it down? I recall getting one of the said stickers from a schwag bag for the ULCER and it was bright yellow.

I desaturated everything but red, Jay. I don't know why, it just seemed to look gritty so I left it that way. The sticker was worn and faded, but not that bad.

My favorite bumper sticker growing up said:

"Nuke the gay baby whales for Jesus."

I'm just twisted enough to really like that.
